Your warehouse staff seems disengaged in safety meetings. How can you ignite their active participation?

To reignite interest and participation from your warehouse staff during safety meetings, consider a fresh approach. Here's how to foster active involvement:

- **Introduce interactive elements**, such as quizzes or simulations, to make learning hands-on.

- **Solicit feedback and ideas** from the staff; this can empower them and give them a sense of ownership.

- **Rotate meeting leaders** among the staff to provide new perspectives and leadership experience.

How do you encourage active participation in safety meetings? Share your strategies.

Safety of each person is very important and it has to be taken. We can bring them by together to attend by organising some games or debating program which would take place after Safety meeting. Also we can arrange for snacks. We can prepare a whatsapp group and on that messages can be sent on same which can become a reminder for Safety meeting.

I chair a colleague H&S committee meeting monthly with a select few operatives. We discuss all incidents across the site in detail, review actions taken and processes followed. This enhances genral awareness and engagement along side the key education piece. Bi monthly we will complete separate site walks as a committee and call out any issues which have been identified as risks. Again, helps with engagement and makes colleagues feel they have a voice when talking about H&S.

if they are not engaged, this is the least of your issues. You have an unsafe warehouse and those that are not, need to be removed before you the owner end up in the dock.
