When building an accurate sales forecast, it's not enough to use data provided by consultants. In my experience, the best source of information comes directly from the people who engage with your customers everyday: your sales force. It is critical that you build trust with them, communicate regularly, and specially to make sure they share every piece of information they see, hear or obtain. To them, an old chart or a random comment from a customer may not seem as much, but to the trained forecaster, it can be the missing piece you need to see the whole picture.

Trust is essential when collaborating with diverse teams for accurate forecasting. Here are five key strategies: a) Foster open dialogue by clearly sharing objectives, assumptions, and methodologies. Ensuring visibility into forecasting processes. b)Encourage diverse perspectives by genuinely valuing input from different teams. Engaging stakeholders in discussions strengthens relationships. c) Follow through on commitments and be consistent in delivering accurate insights. Demonstrating reliability fosters trust. d)Recognize the challenges different teams face and create an environment of mutual respect. Understand their priorities and constraints. e)Support forecasts with objective data while remaining open to feedback.

    1. Be Open and Clear - Share how forecasts are made, what goes into them, and why accuracy matters for everyone. 2. Make Everyone Feel Safe - Invite different opinions and show that no one will be criticized for speaking up. - Be honest about what you don't know. This helps others feel comfortable doing the same. 3. Take Responsibility - Admit mistakes when forecasts are wrong. Talk about what happened and work together on fixes. 4. Get to Know Your Team Take time to learn about your teammates' backgrounds, what they're good at, and what worries them. 5. Work Together - Meet regularly to review forecasts as a team. - Solve problems together instead of alone, so everyone shares responsibility.

I feel that making personalised connection is always a plus point and if we want to make a secure place for all we need to build trust. It will take some times but you can do it eventually. Always stay fair, clear your vision, and listen carefully what others say. That's the main things to build trust.
