From a 3D artist’s perspective: Prioritize creating a foundational MVP, whether it’s a level block-out, placeholder character, or animation, and integrate everything into the game engine as early as possible. This approach encourages quick dialogue with clients or supervisors and prevents getting lost in unnecessary details—details that might eventually be scrapped, wasting time and resources.

Managing multiple game projects requires strategic resource management to keep both clients and team members satisfied. To succeed, I focus on a few key practices: allocating tasks wisely by leveraging individual strengths and prioritizing based on urgency, maintaining open dialogue to provide regular updates and foster trust, and staying flexible to adapt resources as project demands evolve. Balancing the needs of different projects and people requires a mix of planning, communication, and adaptability.

Try to have each project at different stages in the cycle so team members can prioritise/ roll off on projects as required. And make sure each project has what cannot be named- ‘appropriate and sensible schedules with buffer.’

Managing multiple game projects successfully starts with clear priorities. Begin by defining the core goals for each project and regularly reassess them as the work progresses. This ensures that your focus aligns with what truly matters at every stage. Additionally, leverage collaborative tools like Trello or Asana to streamline communication and keep tasks visible to everyone involved. This minimizes confusion and keeps both clients and the team in sync.
