Well, first I want to ask, Why Microservices? Do you really need a Microservice? Or do you want to build it because you think it is cool? Anyway, Microservice is just another application that you are running. Why you need docker? You want to containerize it. You want it to be Environment agnostic. Just ship the image and spin the container. You don't want to set up everything every time in every environment. So use docker. Why do you need kubernetes? Well, if you have one docker container (say, just 1 app),maybe you can easily manage it yourself. But Imagine if you got 20,30 or say 50 apps each having multiple instances (for high availability, scalability etc.), would you be able to manage yourself? Kubernetes help here.

A few rather important considerations for developing and hosting services using docker & Kubernetes- 1. Employ TLS and mTLS to assert secure communication between the services. 2.
