    There is a standard process for expansion or upgrading your network that design team have to follow. Staring with defining the scope of work that need to be done, designing the work and finally the Planning the strategy of execution. Network has to be divided into clusters abd wirk start from outside the least low traffic to inside the core busiest. The timing should be maintenance window only.

    Agree with the steps mentioned, but in addition don’t forget to make network dump or back up as part of preparation, so in case the upgrade is fail, then we can do fallback to the previous state easily. Also do health check before and after the upgrade is essential to ensure all the services are in place.
