In my opinion conflict in oil and gas operations particularly in drilling can be avoided with open communication - effective communication between engineering and operations team can play a significant role for seamless execution besides this: - agreed plan between all team - avoid any last moment changes - record everything to avoid any guess work - full cooperation and transparency from service companies - define objectives & expectations upfront & make sure all stakeholders holders are familiar to that - few standard things - competency, right tools also plays critical role In nutshell, talk & discuss every small things

Why would conflicts in the oil and gas operations segment be more problematic than in other industries? What must be considered in this case are the safety risks and the isolation of offshore teams. Addressing this challenge requires acknowledging and managing these specific characteristics. Leadership plays a fundamental role in maintaining a non-toxic environment. Respect for the men and women who work in this sector, providing space for dialogue, and ensuring transparency in actions are key. Simply put, power struggles in the oilfield can be avoided by having a well established chain of command prior to any operational activities. Also, a written procedure must be prepared and approved by Operations personnel that clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of every on-site individual. This procedure must include both safety and environmental processes that prevent on-site injuries and spills.
