• Hi,

    just have a simple question:

Is there any service, that offers me to a) first scan my wordpress site (design), and then b) help me change its look?

Just want to change some CSS (html) elements, so that distances / gaps between the menu and main content are not as wide, for example.

Not possible to achieve it with my block theme somehow…

    Thank you

Yes, there is indeed. It’s called a “professional website designer”.

You can hire one for yourself here: https://jobs.wordpress.net/

… or, if you can share your website address, the support volunteers here can take a look and give you the exact CSS code to copy and paste (or show you where to go in your theme’s settings to make the desired customizations, if the theme supports such customizations).

    Standing by to help.

    Thanks man,

I can definitely share the theme. It is:

    https://wordpress.org/themes/feelingood/

Sorry for the delayed response: life got in the way 😀

The “Feeling Good” theme you’re using is a Block theme (aka Full-Site Editing theme). This means you should be able to customize (almost) every aspect of the theme and your site without writing any code. To do this, you’d go to APPEARANCE -> EDITOR and tweak things to your heart’s desire.

That said, as WordPress is a database-driven content management system that uses various templates to render a complete page, you need a basic understanding of how WordPress’ templates work to know where to go to change what. This short “course” will give you such a foundation: https://learn.wordpress.org/course/creating-a-4-page-business-website/
