Today, on International Women in Engineering Day, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on Kate Dyer, Assistant Project Manager at Omexom UK, as we conclude our focus on Women in Engineering. Katie joined Omexom in 2024 as part of a bold career change, bringing with her a passion for organisation, planning, and driving complex projects forward. Supporting the Major Projects South Harker team, she plays a vital role in ensuring project milestones are met and cross-functional teams stay aligned. Katie is open about the internal challenges she’s faced - overcoming self-doubt and building confidence in a new industry. Through the Elevate Programme, and with the mantra “I shall, I will, I can, and I must,” she’s forged a new path and became a strong advocate for women stepping into engineering roles. Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing weekly interviews with women from our Elevate programme, an initiative designed to support and accelerate the careers of women across our organisation. To kick off, we spoke to Emma Mcsorley (Née Turrell), Project Manager at Kigtek , about her role leading complex automation projects and what drives her passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
