About us

LEGENDRE is a Main Contractor and Property Developer based in central London. Legendre UK was established in 2015 as part of the growing focus of the Legendre group on the international market. The UK is a large and mature market, where the group can leverage its financial strength and technical expertise. Our head office is located in Chancery Lane – London. From this central place, we run our projects which are focussed on the M25 and the surroundings. Our core activities are contracting and development across a range of sectors but in particular residential, commercial and hospitality both new and refurb. We rely on a diverse team of local experts who have been operating in London and the UK for more than 15 years, complemented by a strong in-house engineering hub (Architects, Structural Engineers, MEP engineers) to support our clients in optimising their schemes. Our approach is simple: we are transparent, allowing us to focus our energy on finding solutions rather than creating problems! Our supply chain is based around a mix of self-delivery (RC Frame, steel frame, MEP), strong local partners and international suppliers. Our approach is different: we bring the versatility and the agility of a SME combined with the financial strength and expertise of a large international group.

  • Within the group, safety is not just a goal but a core part of how we work. We’re proud to share that Legendre UK has reached a full year without a Lost Time Accident (LTA) across all our projects. 👏 This milestone is more than just a number—it reflects the strong safety culture we’ve been building 🙌 and the continuous improvements we’ve made since achieving ISO 45001 certification last year. We’ve strengthened our approach through: • Proactive risk prevention from the design stage • Ongoing health & safety training at all levels • Digital tools to track, report and improve site safety • A shared goal: working towards zero accidents 👏 Thank you to everyone — on site and behind the scenes — who works hard to ensure our projects remain safe places to work, every single day. Let’s keep building safely, together. 🦺 #LTAFree #SafetyMilestone #LegendreUK #ISO45001 #ConstructionSafety #HealthAndSafety#ContinuousImprovement

  • 🏃♂️ Trail running in the South Downs! 🏞️ Last weekend, four members of our London office laced up their trail shoes to take part in The Maverick X Series South Downs – a stunning 21.5 km race through Queen Elizabeth Country Park, with 479 metres of elevation gain. 🌤️ The weather was warm, but the scenery more than made up for it. After the race, the team made the most of the sunshine with a well-earned lunch at the local pub. 👏 A big shoutout to our runners: Damian McGeary, Jérémie SCHIANO, Jeremy Needham and Quentin Le Meillour. Out of 257 participants, they represented the team with energy and enthusiasm — a brilliant day out combining challenge, nature, and camaraderie. 📍 Saturday 28th June 2025 More about the race here: https://lnkd.in/edw36y87 #TrailRunning #TeamSpirit #SouthDowns #MaverickRace #Wellbeing

  • The Legendre Group takes a major step forward in renewable energy production In partnership with GEPS Techno, the Group is launching the construction of the very first full-scale demonstrator of the Dikwe project in Boulogne-sur-Mer, Northern France, with the backing of ADEME and Région Hauts-de-France. Thanks to the innovative Dikwe project, breakwaters are no longer just for coastal protection — they can now also harness wave energy 🌊 to generate electricity. The concept is based on a system of oscillating panels, known as “flaps”, driven by the motion of the waves and designed to convert their power into low-carbon electricity. This demonstrator serves as a tangible example 💡 of a new generation of energy-producing port infrastructure. 👷♂️ Completion of the project is scheduled for late 2025. Recognising the potential of this technology, Groupe Legendre and GEPS Techno have formed a joint venture — Wave-Op — dedicated to the port infrastructure of tomorrow, where every wave becomes an opportunity. #Dikwe #WaveOp #EnergyTransition #Innovation #MarineEnergy #SustainableConstruction #WavePower

  • [#WeAreLegendre] Last Tuesday marked the second induction day of the year for new starters at #GroupeLegendre. Employees from all over France, as well as from the UK and Switzerland, took part in a full day of visits and presentations: ➡️ 10am: The day kicked off with a coffee ☕ followed by a tour of the Head Office in Rennes, including an overview of the various departments that make up the Group. ➡️ 2pm: The group then headed to our industrial sites in Bourgbarré 🏗️ and the OMS Metal Construction workshops, where they were given a presentation on current projects. ➡️ 4pm: After a well-earned break, everyone gathered for a presentation on the company’s history and vision, led by Vincent LEGENDRE, Chairman of the Board, along with Johana Gilot and BEGHIN GUILLAUME, Human Ressources Directors. 🎤 To round off the day, Gaëtan Alin – aka Bboy Laget – a breakdancer who competed in the recent Paris Games and a proud member of Team Legendre, gave an inspiring interview. He shared his journey and exchanged with our new recruits around the shared values of performance, commitment, and pushing boundaries. These induction days, organised several times a year 📅, are a great opportunity to welcome new joiners in a warm and friendly atmosphere! Looking to join a company with a family spirit? • ✨ Spotlight on Noémie SIMAND, Cost Controller at our London office   Noémie joined Legendre Group in summer 2023 on a 13-month VIE (International Volunteer Programme). Her journey began in Rennes, at the Group’s headquarters, where she spent three months in the cost control department to familiarise herself with our management control tools and processes, before taking up her position in London.   🎯 Driven by a desire to gain professional experience in an English-speaking country, she saw the VIE as a fantastic opportunity to combine personal challenge with cultural discovery.   What she particularly enjoys in her role is the chance to regularly visit construction sites – a real highlight in a support function – allowing her to better understand on-the-ground realities and build strong connections with the teams. The diversity of her responsibilities, along with the relatively recent development of our international activity, makes her day-to-day both stimulating and enriching.   Drawn in by the welcoming atmosphere, the Group’s familial spirit, and the exciting potential of her role, Noémie naturally chose to continue the adventure on a permanent contract. Today, London has become her city of heart – and Legendre, the ideal place to grow her ambitions. 💼

  • 🌍 On this World Environment Day, Legendre UK proudly celebrates the environmental actions implemented across the Legendre Group’s construction sites. Here's a look at some standout projects and their unique contributions: 🏗️ 17 & Co – Paris 17th A complex project with five underground levels built in just 10 months. Structural optimisation and a hybrid timber-concrete design have helped reduce the use of raw materials while maintaining high acoustic, thermal, and structural performance. ➕ Use of low-carbon concrete, recycled steel, and wood fiber insulation contributes to a significantly reduced environmental footprint. 🌳 Rue du Bessin – Paris 15th How to build without expanding the urban footprint? This timber rooftop extension adds three floors and 80 housing units above an existing medical facility — without demolition. ✅ A smart, low-carbon response to urban densification, using wood for lightness and high thermal performance. 🔄 Phoenix – in Normandy A logistics platform featuring 1,000 m² of Ingenova timber-concrete floors — a patented system developed in-house with INSA Rennes. ➕ Offers a 50% carbon reduction versus standard concrete floors, all while maintaining architectural versatility and performance. 🏷️ Certified BBC, BREEAM Excellent, and compliant with RE2020. ♻️ Petite Pierre – Paris 11th A model in circular construction: from reused balustrades, sanitary ware, lighting, to recycled concrete and a green roof, the project showcases how materials can be repurposed directly on-site or reused across other projects. 💡 CNAM – West of France The first reinforced concrete building in France to achieve E4C2 certification, marking top-tier performance in energy efficiency and carbon reduction. Highlights include a rooftop photovoltaic system, bioclimatic design, and eco-materials like oyster shell paving. At Legendre, we see sustainable construction as an integral part of our approach. Whether through material innovation or circular economy practices, our teams aim to make a positive environmental impact — one project at a time. 🌍 #WorldEnvironmentDay #SustainableConstruction #Building #CSR #Innovation #LowCarbon

  • 🎓 Training to raise awareness: empowering a network of committed facilitators at the heart of the Construction Collage 👷♀️👷♂️ As part of its CSR strategy, the Legendre Group has chosen to invest in training its own employees to lead Construction Collage workshops. 🎯 To date, nearly 20 in-house facilitators have been trained, drawn from a variety of roles and departments, to create spaces for discussion and reflection on environmental issues in construction – such as waste management 🚯, biodiversity 🦔, energy efficiency 💧⚡ and pollution prevention. Supported by the CSR team, this network of facilitators is gradually growing, with new volunteers motivated by a desire to share knowledge and get involved. So far, nearly 640 employees – including around 150 site workers – have taken part in awareness sessions. 🔄 Together, they are helping to drive the ecological transition across the Group’s operations. The momentum is underway: the rollout of the collage among employees continues, with the aim of strengthening the impact of this collaborative initiative. #csr #training #constructioncollage #ecologicaltransition #awareness #sustainableconstruction #commitment
