On July 10–11, 2025, Rome hosted the Ukraine Recovery Conference, a significant international event focused on Ukraine's economic recovery. This conference showcased the unity among the Ukrainian business community, financial sector, and government in their collective commitment to achieving a common goal. Last week was highly productive for Bank Lviv. We signed four strategic agreements with European partners that will significantly improve access to financing for small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine. These new agreements will contribute to production development, job creation, and the growth of the state budget. During the conference, the following agreements were signed: ⚫ An agreement with the European Investment Fund (EIF) for a portfolio guarantee totaling €31.25 million. ⚫ A loan agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) amounting to €60 million. ⚫ A loan agreement with the CEB - Council of Europe Development Bank for €3 million. ⚫ A letter of intent with the BIO - the Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries for a loan agreement worth €5 million. The funds received will primarily be used to support the agricultural sector, implement energy efficiency programs, restore production, and develop local investment projects. Special attention will be given to the development of companies impacted by the war, as well as businesses that create additional opportunities for veterans. "The documents signed in Rome further confirm that our international partners regard Bank Lviv as a reliable channel for investment in the Ukrainian economy. We are committed to providing businesses with clear and transparent access to financing. This effort will empower even more Ukrainian companies to grow, even in challenging times," stated Ashot Abrahamyan, Chairman of the Board of Bank Lviv. Bank Lviv is actively expanding its international partnerships. We aim to strengthen the economy in the western region and across Ukraine. Society urgently requires effective action that is both immediate and impactful. To be free is to work toward a common goal. Natalia Osadcii Tamar Tkhelidze Volodymyr Kuzyo

Bank Lviv continues to play an important role in opening up Ukraine’s financial sector to new international investors. At the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome, the bank signed a letter of intent for a EUR 5 million senior loan with BIO - the Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries, the Belgian development finance institution. The funding will support lending to small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine. This marks the first-ever investment from Belgium into Ukraine’s financial sector. The agreement was signed in the presence of Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, marking a key milestone. It also paves the way for a range of future initiatives aimed at supporting the country’s sustainable development. “We sincerely thank the BIO team for their strong commitment to making a real difference through financial support that transforms lives. This agreement marks a new, landmark stage. Ukraine’s economy will benefit from the growth of the private sector, job creation, and strengthened local production,” emphasized Ashot Abrahamyan, Chairman of the Board of Bank Lviv. Chișinău, 17 June 2025 – The European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) with its Ukraine Sub-Fund (USF) is expanding its strategic partnership with Bank Lviv, a key player in Ukraine's financial sector, to provide EUR 15 million of additional UAH funding, dedicated financing to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and support the country's economic growth. The financing is complemented by dedicated MSME grants designed to ease access to finance for war-affected MSMEs, including newly established and relocated businesses. These grants address the lack of collateral and ongoing market distortions, such as reduced credit risk appetite, heightened asset quality concerns, and overall market unpredictability. «Our collaboration with Bank Lviv enables EFSE to support Ukrainian MSMEs in securing the tailored financing solutions they need to invest in their businesses and expand their operations,» said Jasminka Begert, Portfolio Manager EFSE at Finance in Motion. «This funding is a direct investment in the competitiveness and long-term growth of local businesses.» «Each new tranche is not just financial support, but also a recognition of the effectiveness of our cooperation with EFSE. Even in challenging circumstances, Ukrainian small and medium-sized businesses continue to show resilience, growth, and a strong commitment to sustainable development. Support from international partners — particularly through meetings such as the one in Chisinau — enables Bank Lviv to further expand access to financing that is truly tailored to the real needs of our entrepreneurs,» said Ashot Abrahamyan, Chairperson of the Management Board of Bank Lviv

Recently, the Bank Lviv team visited Warsaw, which once again became a meeting place for international banking experts. We participated in the 5th anniversary edition of the PKO International Banking Seminar at the invitation of our colleagues from PKO Bank Polski, one of the largest financial institutions in Eastern Europe. This year's event brought together experts from all over the world. The discussions focused on innovations, technology development, and transaction banking. For Bank Lviv, attending such partner events is an integral part of our strategic development. "Participation in international events is not just a way to keep abreast of global changes. For Bank Lviv, it is part of the strategic movement forward, a source of inspiration, valuable connections, and new insights for client-focused solutions. The PKO International Banking Seminar focused on topics that are already changing approaches to banking services today: artificial intelligence, embedded finance, multifunctional mobile applications. These are no longer future trends — they are today’s reality, demanding swift adaptation. And the main thing in it is attention to the client and his daily needs, convenience, security and mutual trust," says Oksana Rubakha, Executive Director of Bank Lviv. Bank Lviv representatives actively contributed to the discussions and debates, sharing their own best practices, especially in the area of technology. "It was extremely useful to communicate with colleagues from the world's leading banks. These conversations were not only an excellent networking opportunity, but also a ground for further professional exchanges and partnerships. I am pleased that support for our country remains on the agenda. And we, as Ukrainians, retain a clear understanding of our mission abroad — to represent and support our economy, which is an integral part of the European market," adds Anna Oprysk, Head of Correspondent Accounts and Treasury Back-Office Department. One tangible outcome of our participation was a set of ideas that Bank Lviv plans to implement. Our service should become even more convenient, more efficient, and closer to people. To be free is to work for a common goal!

Bank Lviv has moved to a new Head Office! We marked the opening of Bank Lviv’s new home together with our clients and partners. “What began as an idea has grown into something resilient and remarkable. Together with the team, through all the challenges, we’ve built a bank that continues to grow and deliver”, said Michael Fiebig, Head of Private Equity and Funds, Member of Executive Management at responsAbility. “Bank Lviv is a place where dreams turn into achievements. Even in tough times, this team leads with vision, resilience, and purpose. We are proud to be partners — and we are here to support your bold ideas. Some say youth is defined by having more dreams than achievements. You are a bank with big achievements and bigger dreams — so I can only wish you to dream big, and stay young, forever!”, noted Francis Malige the Managing Director, Head of Financial Institutions Business Group at the EBRD. New Head Office unites three teams in one office which helps to accelerate all processes and enhances communication within the team. The space reflects who we are: genuine, human, and sincere. To be free is to be together!

On May 9, 2025, Bank Lviv officially opened its new Head Office, relocating from a historic 15th-century building on Rynok Square to a modern business center at 24A Panasa Myrnoho Street. During the opening ceremony, the next tranche of financing was signed under the agreement between Bank Lviv and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). This marks the fourth tranche under the loan agreement, amounting to €5 million, as part of a total financing package of €20 million in national currency. Like the previous tranches, this new funding will support small and medium-sized businesses, particularly those that continue to work, grow, and adapt during the full-scale war. Special emphasis will be placed on financing green projects focused on energy efficiency and sustainable development. «Bank Lviv is not just moving to a new head office, we are investing in the bank's development and into the future. We united our three offices into one and with the new power we are unstoppable in reaching our dreams. We are grateful to Francis Malige, Aleksandra Vukosavljevic and Arthur Poghosyan for their personal attendance, for this signing which was highly appreciated by all our clients. It is the representation of your continuous support and trust in Bank Lviv, in resilience of Ukrainian businesses and in the future of Ukraine», stated Natalia Osadcii, member of the Executive Board of Bank Lviv. The EBRD is Ukraine’s largest institutional lender. It has significantly increased its lending to make a total of EUR 6.5 billion available to the country since 2022. It has secured agreement from its shareholders for a capital increase of EUR 4 billion to continue lending at this level in wartime and raise its finance further when the time comes for reconstruction. To be free – it's to unite for a common goal.

Bank Lviv has been ranked 36th among the top 50 employers in Ukraine by Forbes Ukraine! Back in 2017, we implemented a new HR development strategy. At that time, we could only dream of being recognized as one of the best employers in the country. Our goal seemed bold and ambitious, but that dream has become a reality today. This recognition from a leading global business publication proves that Bank Lviv is a bank with character. Our people shape character — those who care, take initiative, and accept responsibility. Because of these individuals, Bank Lviv’s unique culture has developed. When we set our sights on a goal, we make it happen. Receiving this award is not merely a status symbol; it represents the trust of our colleagues who create an environment where openness, humanity, and teamwork are valued. It is a place where everyone feels important and valued and where each person has a voice. Being listed in Forbes Ukraine is a great honor. However, the most critical aspect is to remain an employer of choice. We are grateful to everyone who journeys alongside us. To be recognized is to receive well-deserved acknowledgment.

Bank Lviv is continually evolving and adapting. Recently, we began our journey toward Agile transformation and are eager to learn from industry leaders. To that end, our team visited the headquarters of our partner, TBC Bank, in Tbilisi to gain insights from one of the most successful banks in the region. TBC Bank has been applying the Agile approach for six years. In this relatively short period, our colleagues in Georgia have successfully developed a new operating model and established a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability. Most importantly, they have fostered effective collaboration among business units, technology, and human resource development. We understand that many of our readers are Ukrainian entrepreneurs who always strive for more and are already interested in Agile practices. Today, we would like to share some key insights we gained from the productive discussions between our teams. What are the principles of Agile? - Agile is not just a methodology; it represents a cultural transformation that requires a shift in mindset rather than just minor adjustments to processes. It’s crucial to ask ourselves two questions: “Why?” and “What are we changing?” - Agile emphasizes honesty and openness. Successful development relies on discussing even the most challenging topics—such as resistance, mistakes, and fatigue—because mutual trust cannot be established without this openness. - Agile promotes efficiency through a partnership between business and technology. Results are achieved through a balanced approach and shared responsibility. - Agile embraces a culture of experimentation and accepts mistakes and failures as valuable learning experiences. Each attempt holds intrinsic value, and every experience contributes to our growth. - Agile is centered around the customer, ensuring that all strategies focus on the needs of those who use our services and products. We are thankful to the TBC Bank team for their transparency and honesty. The experience we gained motivates us to move forward with a willingness to embrace change, a strong focus on our customers, and a belief in the power of teamwork. Bank Lviv will continue to adopt Agile principles and transform our internal culture, as our primary goal is to provide the best banking services to empower Ukrainians. Being free means being surrounded by people who share your thoughts and beliefs.

Development and rebuilding of Ukraine's economy after the war depends heavily on the ability of small and medium-sized enterprises to invest in and develop their businesses. IFU is investing EUR 7 million in Bank Lviv, which provides targeted financing to small and medium-sized companies. The Russian invasion has had a significant negative impact on Ukraine's economy and business. Many companies in eastern and southern parts of Ukraine have been forced to close or partially or fully relocate to the western part of the country, which has been less affected by the war. The companies need financing to recover and rebuild their businesses. The scarcity of capital holds companies back from investing in facilities and technology that can increase production, employment, and exports, which are crucial for economic development and reconstruction of Ukraine. Therefore, IFU invests EUR 7 million in Bank Lviv, which provides targeted financing to small and medium-sized enterprises and serves around 45,000 customers, including 8, 500 business clients in key areas such as manufacturing, trade, and agribusiness. This is not just an investment — it is a subordinated loan that will allow the bank to significantly increase the volume of financing for Ukrainian businesses. "The €7 million investment from IFU strengthens our ability to support small and medium-sized enterprises — the backbone of Ukraine's economy. Our goal is to provide access to financing and foster sustainable development, technological innovation, and integration into international trade. This partnership with IFU is a significant step for Bank Lviv, as together we will help Ukrainian businesses grow, create new jobs and contribute to Ukraine‘s economic development", commented Ashot Abrahamyan, Chairman of the Board of Bank Lviv. “We are very pleased to be able to invest EUR 7 million in Bank Lviv. It is an important investment that improves the bank's ability to offer financing to small and medium-sized enterprises, which have a great need for capital and play a significant role in the economic and social reconstruction of the country," said Olexiy Parkhomchuk, Investment Director, Representative Ukraine at IFU. A bank with ambitions for a green and equal future Bank Lviv contributes to both the green transition and gender equality. It is one of a few banks in Ukraine that has green ambitions for the future with an ambition to be able to classify 15% of their financing as green by 2028. At the same time, the bank provides loans to companies based on a policy that everyone, especially women, should have access to decent jobs. “The bank’s profile and objectives are in line with IFU’s strategy to focus on investments that support the green transition and promote gender equality, which is another good reason to invest in Bank Lviv," said Olexiy Parkhomchuk.
