Autofill Columns - Managed Metadata
I have a SharePoint document library that has 4 autofill columns, 1 of which is a Managed Metadata column. When I drop a document, the MMD column doesn't complete the first time even though the status says, Finished. If I manually chose AutoFill again, the MMD column completes. Is anyone else experiencing this? Am I doing something wrong or are the limitations with AutoFill MMD columns?
Check in issue with Document Library
I am having an issue with files in a document library remaining checked out to the user who edited it - I have raised with MS support who so far have no resolution for this. The files in the document library are all images - all are edited with the default editing feature in SharePoint. When these are edited, they used to save instantly and be visible to all users. Now, upon saving, the image remains "checked out" and needs to be manually checked back in. This is not ideal for my scenario - it needs to be automatic and instant. I do have JSON formatting on this library which is the only difference I can see between this library that doesn't work well, and another on a different site that does what I expect it to. All advanced/version settings have been checked and all are set to NOT required files to be checked out. Does anyone have any guidance as to why the JSON formatting is affecting this? Hello, We are using Sharepoint/Onedrive for 7 users. They are all searching/Editing within 300k Files (600GB) (15 years worth) Im aware of unofficial file count limit of 300K. They are already experiencing issues, like sync issues, Very slow Searching (even with Always keep on Device) Unfortunately they cant archive/remove any of date because they need constant access to all the files, even old ones. Is there anything that can be done, or is there any other solution outside of Microsoft that would be suitable for this scenario? Regards mikeSharePoint Migration
A few years ago, I created a solution for another department where they could store video files that they download from their security files. The files weren't supposed to stay there long term. They are store in a document library in an Online SharePoint site. Fast forward to today, that department has filled up our SharePoint storage capacity over and over again. We are not able to delete these files, for legal reasons. Storing large video files in a document library is probably not the best use case. I'm looking to migrate these files over to Azure Blob Storage. My question is does anyone have a good solution to move large files and TB's worth of files from a SharePoint document library to Azure Blob Storage? Because they are large files Power Automate is not a good solution because it times out. I'm open to purchasing something if that is the best solution I find. When I opened my onedrive mobile app today the app pushed a message saying that a restart was required. I restarted the app and it told me to set up my personal vault. I've been using my personal vault for several years now so no set up was required. When I logged into my personal vault, all of the files within it were missing. They're available on the online version of onedrive but not in the app version. There's nothing in the recycling bin and there's no recent activity to suggest mass movement/deletion of files. I've restarted the app multiple times, tried with and without wifi, and have tried on different devices - all are showing an empty vault. Has anyone had this problem? Is this a syncing issue or a bug with the new app?".tmp.driveupload"
I am having an issue where my word doc (set to autosave to OneDrive business desktop app) on my PC is suddenly saved in a ".tmp.driveupload" folder online under a different file name (random numbers), with autosave switched off. If I do not notice this happening, the change to the document is not saved under the expected folder and file name, resulting in no change made to the file I opened. The only workaround I've found is to "save a copy" and overwrite the file I opened in the original folder. This only works if I notice the sudden name change and file save in the tmp folder. If I don't, the changes are lost because the tmp file is deleted (to recycle bin) on exit and the tmp folder is not synced to my PC. I have to go online to the OneDrive business website, guess which file it may be, restore that from the OneDrive recycle bin, and hope it is the file I was looking for. The frequency of this happening means that there are numerous tmp files under pseudo file names to scour through. One-hour plus on the phone with MS Office subscription support is of no help.JSON formatting within SharePoint not functioning?
Hello! Has anyone noticed a sudden degradation with JSON formatting across SharePoint? I have code on a SharePoint list that has suddenly stopped working properly when I use it on another view. I cannot see to even be able to modify simple, out of the box things, like the width or height of the tile. Anyone know if there is a bug with JSON formatting at the moment?How approves or users can see all the pending approval requests?
We have 10++ sites and on some lists and libraries, inside those sites we define content approval at the list/library level:- Now the users are bit confused, on how they can access those approval requests? is there a screen they can access to see all those pending approval requests? either for all sites or the current site? as currently most of the items and files are pending approval and no one is taking action on them Thanks
