This morning, we reported our financial results for the second quarter of 2025. While the results reflect a continued challenging external environment for the automotive industry, our SEK 18 billion turnaround plan is fully on track and already having positive effects. Our free cash flow improved versus Q1 2025 and FY 2024. We also slightly improved our margins, even if the result was weighed down by two one-off items and 2025 will remain a challenging year. Looking at the second half of the year, production of the electric EX30 and EX90 is ramping up, while our new ES90 and XC70 models will start production later this year. Our all new, fully electric EX60 SUV is also on track for launch and start of production in 2026. When market sentiment picks up, we expect to be well positioned for profitable growth, with a future-proof product line-up as well as a leaner and more efficient organisation. Good news for our colleagues and customers in the United States: starting in late 2026, our best-selling XC60 midsize SUV will be assembled in America! We will start to assemble our most popular model at our manufacturing facility in Ridgeville, outside Charleston in South Carolina, as the XC60 is our most popular model in the United States. “Adding the XC60 to our Charleston production line will further strengthen its position and attractiveness in the competitive US market, while supporting and creating American manufacturing jobs,” says our CEO Håkan Samuelsson. “It is also in line with our ambition to build where we sell and reinforces our long-term commitment to the US market, where we are celebrating our 70th anniversary and have sold over 5 million cars.”  Read more in the comments below. #XC60 #VolvoCarCharleston
