Coach for the Open girls' team in the girls' basketball programme at Massey High School.
As one of three volunteer coaches my role in 2016 is coaching the Open team and assisting a student coach to develop her coaching and leadership skills. This roles involve running the trainings, teaching the fundamentals of basketball as well as running the team during games and passing on the coaching and leadership skills that I have learnt from numerous sources.
This team was mainly a social team…Coach for the Open girls' team in the girls' basketball programme at Massey High School.
As one of three volunteer coaches my role in 2016 is coaching the Open team and assisting a student coach to develop her coaching and leadership skills. This roles involve running the trainings, teaching the fundamentals of basketball as well as running the team during games and passing on the coaching and leadership skills that I have learnt from numerous sources.
This team was mainly a social team made up of rugby players, netballers plus a couple of basketballers. We placed second in the very competitive Western Zone Secondary Schools Open Girls' competition and earning a place in the Greater Auckland Basketball Championship playoffs. -
3x3 Basketball Coach

My role was coaching the Open team and assisting a student coach coaching the Junior team through the National Tournament. These roles involved coaching the girls and guiding them through the tournament with the focus on development and improvement as the tournament progressed. Coach for the Open Girls' 3x3 team and assistant coach of Junior Girls' 3x3 team at the New Zealand Secondary School Nationals. My role was coaching the Open team and assisting a student coach coaching the Junior team through the National Tournament. These roles involved coaching the girls and guiding them through the tournament with the focus on development and improvement as the tournament progressed. Also a major focus was on helping the student coach develop her coaching skills at her first tournament under very trying circumstances from her peers and their parents.

As one of four volunteer coaches my main role in 2014 was as assistant coach for the U15 team which involves running the trainings and teaching the fundamentals of basketball as well as running the team during games. I also helped out the U17 and Open teams as required either at training or on game day which resulted in coaching up to three teams during a 3 or 4 hour…Assistant Coach for the U15, U17 and Open girls teams in the girls' basketball programme at Massey High School.

I also helped out the U17 and Open teams as required either at training or on game day which resulted in coaching up to three teams during a 3 or 4 hour period.
After winning the Auckland Western Zone Secondary Schools Championship our U15 team were runners up at the Greater Auckland Championship having lost only one game in the season. -

During this period I coached basketball, touch and ripper rugby in out of school and inter-school competitions. The highlight of this period was coaching the undefeated girls basketball team to the North-Western Schools title.

The NZGSM (Solomon Islands) was instituted in 2002 to recognise New Zealand personnel (both military and non military) who served in the Solomon Islands and its waters between June 2000 and June 2002.
Service on the following NZDF operations are recognised by the award of the NZGSM (Solomon Islands), after 30 days' operational service, or 7 operational sorties, has been accumulated by an individual:

The New Zealand Operational Service Medal (NZOSM) was instituted in 2002 for award to New Zealanders who have undertaken operational service since 3 September 1945.
The NZOSM provides specific New Zealand recognition for operational service. Operational service is service which exceeds the normal requirements of peacetime service, and which involves a credible military threat from enemy military forces, insurgents, or other hostile forces.
