    As one of three volunteer coaches my role in 2016 is coaching the Open team and assisting a student coach to develop her coaching and leadership skills. This roles involve running the trainings, teaching the fundamentals of basketball as well as running the team during games and passing on the coaching and leadership skills that I have learnt from numerous sources.

    As one of three volunteer coaches my role in 2016 is coaching the Open team and assisting a student coach to develop her coaching and leadership skills. This roles involve running the trainings, teaching the fundamentals of basketball as well as running the team during games and passing on the coaching and leadership skills that I have learnt from numerous sources.
    This team was mainly a social team made up of rugby players, netballers plus a couple of basketballers. We placed second in the very competitive Western Zone Secondary Schools Open Girls' competition and earning a place in the Greater Auckland Basketball Championship playoffs.

    After winning the Auckland Western Zone Secondary Schools Championship our U15 team were runners up at the Greater Auckland Championship having lost only one game in the season.
