Description:

Clients is seeking an experienced interim Legal Counsel to step into the role of General Counsel North West Hub during a three-month sabbatical. This is a senior, hands-on position that provides strategic legal support across multiple markets (mainly Benelux & Nordics) while collaborating with key stakeholders and partnering closely with an established in-house counsel.

Your Mission As Interim Legal Counsel, you’ll take a leading role in managing complex, high-value legal matters while supporting business continuity across client's B&N region. You’ll serve as a sounding board to internal counsel and ensure smooth legal operations during this short-term assignment. Strong communication and collaborative instincts are essential, as this role involves partnering with stakeholders across the different markets in the NW Hub and offering guidance on a wide range of legal topics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide senior-level legal advice across commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters;

• Lead on significant and high-risk legal issues, including strategic deals and governance topics;

• Collaborate closely with internal legal counsel, providing expert guidance and sharing ownership of the day-to-day workflow;

• Ensure continuity in legal support during the GC’s sabbatical, including over the year-end period;

• Foster productive working relationships with commercial leaders and functional heads across the region;

• Bring clarity and structure to negotiations and contract work, and ensure alignment with client's global policies;

• Support leadership engagement in partnership with the in-house counsel, who will maintain close operational involvement across NL and the wider NW Hub.

Ideal Profile

• Qualified lawyer with Dutch law experience preferred; other EU legal backgrounds will be considered;

• Significant post-qualified legal experience, including within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry;

• Strong business acumen and a pragmatic approach to risk and opportunity;

• Track record of building relationships in international, matrixed organizations;

• Able to begin early October 2025 and commit fully through January 2026.
