    I very much agree with the sentiments of this post. Also, to "feel welcome" has lost all meaning these days. Before it was clear-cut, be respectful, be nice etc. Now though, it's subjective therefore it isn't clear what is/is not "welcoming" because of how it might be perceived by a passer by.
