🎉 Exciting News from Ironbark Joint Venture! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce a major milestone achieved by our dedicated team working on the North West Wastewater Connection project for Sydney Water. After months of perseverance and hard work, the excavation of our launch pit has successfully reached a depth of 17.9 metres! 🏗️💪 Faced with hard rock, our skilled crew demonstrated remarkable commitment which included working extended hours to overcome this challenge. Their relentless dedication is a testament to the spirit of innovation and determination that drives us and our partner Rob Carr Pty Ltd. This accomplishment marks a significant step in our journey, and we are nearly ready to commence tunnelling! Overall, the team completed nine ‘lifts’ across 3 months to complete the excavation. Each lift - which actually means excavating further down not up - involves excavating out the rock, having the geology assessed to see what reinforcement in terms of concrete or reinforced rock bolts are required, and then proceeding to the next lift. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the local community for their patience and understanding during this time, especially with the extended hours.
