Their low power consumption does not require an external power source. Furthermore, they exhibit excellent mechanical properties (elastic modulus up to 5 GPa and flexibility up to 300%). Hence, sensors fabricated from Piezotech® FC copolymers enable unique applications. They are usually used in thickness mode (d33).

🚘Ensuring user safety in hydrogene vehicules with Piezotech® Arkema is developing an innovative range of piezoelectric polymers that are used to manufacture highly sensitive, ultra-thin and flexible smart acoustic sensors: ✔️ To improve reliability, ✔️ Facilitate maintenance ✔️ Reduce the cost of hydrogen tanks Installed on tanks, these sensors continuously detect and quantify any impacts and measure tank aging during each refill.
