    Sustainability managers - important news for you: The Global Reporting Initiative (#GRI) has launched two new #sustainability reporting standards: GRI 102: Climate Change & GRI 103: Energy Here are some key things you need to know about them 👇🏻 ✳️ Meeting new stakeholder expectations: These updated standards are designed to meet increasing stakeholder demands for transparency, accountability, and real-world climate action. ✳️ Beyond simple emissions data The new standards introduce comprehensive reporting requirements around transition planning, energy use, and the social impacts of climate change. ✳️ Alignment with other frameworks  The news standards are also designed to align with other major frameworks like the ISSB’s and the GHG Protocol, streamlining efforts for companies that report across multiple standards.     Making net zero count: it's time to turn climate ambition into value-building corporate action We were delighted to welcome Kaya Axelsson, a Research and Policy Fellow at Oxford Net Zero at SWEEP’s recent thought leadership event Climate Compass London, to discuss just this. In her keynote, Kaya told us that it’s no longer enough for companies to focus solely on reducing their Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. That foundational work remains critical - but, Kaya argues, leading businesses must now look outward, using their broader spheres of influence to accelerate the transition well beyond their operational boundaries.     Artificial Intelligence is becoming an indispensable tool for businesses wanting to understand and manage climate risk.  At SWEEP’s Climate Compass thought leadership event, Sweep Co-founder and CPO Raphael Güller sat down with Ben Gaiarin, Technical Program Manager at Google DeepMind, to explore how #AI can support climate mitigation and adaptation responsibly.     Sustainability isn’t a side project anymore — it’s a business strategy. That was the message we heard time and again at SWEEP’s London Climate Action Week #LCAW25 thought leadership event, Climate Compass. Chris Trott, Partner and Head of Sustainability Policy and Research at our customer Foster + Partners, shared that the global architecture firm is using data to drive smarter decisions — especially around travel, which makes up a significant part of the corporate footprint. “As we’ve grown, we realised we needed a more methodical way to capture data”   “Now we’re modelling carbon in ways that help us decide when, how, and even whether we should travel.” Increasingly, tying #sustainability to business outcomes is making a difference. “We’re asking: should we go? What’s the impact if we don’t? Which airline is best? These are live conversations now, because #sustainability is part of how we manage projects and relationships,” Chris told us.
