📣 50 000 € POUR TRANSFORMER L'AVENIR ÉCOLOGIQUE DES MONTAGNES EUROPÉENNES ⛰️ ➡️ ENGLISH BELOW Face à l'urgence climatique qui menace particulièrement les écosystèmes montagnards, la Fondation Petzl et la Fondation Snowleader renouvellent leur engagement pour la quatrième fois pour soutenir les initiatives de transition écologique dans les montagnes françaises et européennes. 👉 Nos objectifs : soutenir des projets portés par des associations, des collectivités locales ou des laboratoires de recherche publique qui expérimentent de nouveaux modes de vie compatibles avec les limites planétaires. With €50,000 to be shared between the different projects selected, the call for projects is intended for non-profit organizations. 👉🏼 This call for projects will reward actions aimed at: - Reducing carbon emissions - Preserving or restoring biodiversity in mountain areas - Raising public awareness and encouraging action on soft mobility and energy saving issues. Driven by both individual efforts and team initiatives, we began phasing out plastic in our packaging, adopted more sustainable practices at one of our production sites, and found new uses for rope scraps left over from manufacturing. What Is an Eco-Friendly Design Initiative? Eco-friendly design begins with Life Cycle Analysis (LCA). LCA helps us calculate the environmental impact of a product throughout its life cycle — from sourcing raw materials, to how the product is used, all the way until disposal at the end of its life. This analysis allows us to compare different design scenarios and choose the one with the lowest impact. 📢 2024 Call For Projects: Supporting Ecological Transition in the Mountains 🏔️ For the third year in a row, the Fondation Petzl and Fondation Snowleader are joining forces to promote ecological transition in European mountain regions (Scandinavian Alps, Alpine Arc, Spanish Pyrenees, and more). 📅 The joint call for projects runs from June 5th to September 8th, 2024, with a €60,000 fund to be divided among the winning projects. 🌿 Projects must contribute to: - Reducing carbon emissions - Preserving biodiversity - Raising awareness about climate change 💡 Who can participate: - Non-profit public interest associations, NGOs, and public research laboratories - Organizations must be based in the European Union or Switzerland - The call for projects is limited to one entry per organization For more details, visit https://lnkd.in/eD5V9t7z
