🌍 Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking was delighted to host Ambassador André Aranha Corrêa do Lago, President of COP-30, who recently joined us for a for a dialogue with our financial institutions clients, on “Making Finance Flows Consistent with a Pathway Towards Low Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Climate-Resilient Development”. Three key themes emerged during the discussion: 🤝COP-30: The COP of Implementation : The focus of COP-30 in Belém is on actionable solutions to climate financing challenges, underscoring the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors to mobilize the capital needed for climate mitigation and adaptation. 💡Diverse Financing Solutions are Needed: Addressing climate change requires a multifaceted approach, as there is no single solution. The Sustainable Finance Debt Market is already playing a crucial role in supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy, and there is significant potential to scale these efforts. 🌳 Including Adaptation and Nature: In our pursuit of a sustainable future, adaptation finance must be considered and quantified. While the energy transition remains the central topic, there is an increasing recognition of climate-related physical risks, as well as the importance of nature-focused investments, highlighting the types of investments that need to be encouraged. Thank you to Ambassador André Aranha Corrêa do Lago, Alain Gallois, and to all participants and guests for joining us to discuss this important topic and further the conversation in addressing the climate challenges we face.

🌍 Economic Meetings - Aix-en-Provence 🇫🇷 Alain Gallois, Global Head of Advisory & Coverage participated alongside Philippe Setbon, CEO of NIM, at the Rencontres Économiques d'Aix-en-Provence - Le Cercle des économistes, the largest economic forum in Europe, on the theme "Confronting the Shock of Reality". The event was an opportunity to address crucial themes inlcuding geopolitics, artificial intelligence, climate change, debt in Europe and global trade tensions. With the presence of eminent speakers, including academics, economists, public and private companies, as well as major investors, insurers, asset managers and private equity funds, the exchanges were rich and varied. These meetings allowed us to engage in discussions with our clients, partners and counterparties and provided the opportunity to see improvement of the CIB’s positioning in our priority businesses and sectors by consolidating strategic dialogue with decision-makers. More precisely in M&A (acquisition financing, LBO, access to the bond market) as well as innovation in financing techniques and monetization (adhoc porting, securitization, use of asset values to finance oneself). Our clients are in a dynamic of growth and development due to the uncertain context but remain selective with a strong and evolving ability to adapt. By sharing our perspectives and participating in these important discussions, we strengthened our understanding of global transformations and explored how to best support our clients in this constantly developing and transitional context. #REAIX #REAIX25 #Geopolitics #IA #ClimateChange #Collaboration
