French friends on fire! Günther Schneider and Jean-François Perret explained how they managed to grow the French E.ON infrastructure solution business over the last years. Let me share a few of their wise words. 1) Continously hire the best experts and incorporate them in an inspiring business environment. 2) Plan your business expansion based on emerging customer needs. This was key to make businesses in energy efficiency, low temperature city heating and SRF plants to grow. 3) Both the engineering concept and business model need to be right to fit the technical and financial requirements of customers. 4) Cooperation creates possibilities. The proximity to a network and capabilities in the E.ON group allow customer relationships to grow and mature. I travel back knowing the business is in the hands of a good management team.
