This week, part of our Post and Parcel team is on site at a client’s facility in Sarasota, Florida, finalizing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and transitioning the new sortation system into beneficial use by testing live parcels in close collaboration with the client. This project is a great example of how Alstef Group upgrades parcel operations by combining new automation technology with existing infrastructure. The turnkey solution includes: ✅ A Linear Cross Belt Sorter with 36 divert destinations, plus overflow and reject chutes ✅ An upgraded OCR tunnel for faster, more accurate scanning and sort logic ✅ Refurbished MDR conveyors with new belting and removal of legacy equipment ✅ A redesigned decline conveyor to replace the old spiral system ✅ Integrated MDR and belt conveyors, merges, and diverters ✅ A new spur line to handle future parcel volume and routing needs ✅ A diverter to connect legacy and new lines, improving overall flow With this hybrid system, our client is better equipped to manage current parcel volumes and scale for the future. We believe that sustainable commuting is a key part of our environmental responsibility, and our commitment is taking shape through concrete actions! In France, employees who bike to work receive a sustainable mobility allowance of €1 per day. This initiative promotes active mobility and well-being, while helping reduce carbon emissions. We even track monthly bike usage to encourage long-term commitment. 🚴 Similarly, employees who carpool to our site in Mordelles can also receive an allowance. By supporting shared, low-impact commuting options, we’re making responsible travel part of our daily operations.
