Respected MD&CEO Sir and Team RENAULT India I am writing this email with deep disappointment and concern regarding my experience with the Renault Triber RXZ Petrol, which I purchased on 31st January 2023 from your Exhibition Road, Patna showroom. At the time of purchase, your sales manager Mr. Ravi (then working at the showroom) made certain verbal promises regarding the performance and mileage of the car. He assured me that: The car would give at least 22 km/l on highways and 18 km/l in city driving conditions. He confidently stated – “Sir, main yahi rehta hoon aur aap bhi yahin mai galat promise karke kahan jaunga kuch hoga to mai hu n aap mujhe pharosa karke aaj final kar do ” – implying strong personal commitment. Based on his strong assurance and confidence, I finalized the deal. Detailed Timeline of Issues Faced: Trip to Darjeeling & Gangtok (Approx. 1300 km): Just 20 days after purchase, I observed mileage of only 12-13 km/l, which was much lower than promised. Service Center Response: When I reported this to the Renault South Patna Service Center, I was told, “Sir, after 2 service cycles, mileage will improve to around 20 km/l.” Servicing Details: 1st Service: 11 April 2023 @ 1685 km, paid ₹320. 2nd Service: 03 March 2024 @ 7741 km, paid ₹4014. 3rd Service: 15 February 2025 @ 9272 km, paid ₹2495. Yet no real improvement in mileage was seen even after 3 services. Nepal-Kathmandu Trip (Approx. 1000 km): Again, same poor mileage of 12-13 km/l. CNG Fitting Disappointment: Due to consistently low mileage and rising petrol costs, I approached your service center for CNG installation. I was shocked to hear that CNG is only available for Triber models manufactured after March 2023 and my vehicle is not eligible. With no option left, I had to install CNG from an external vendor, incurring a heavy cost of ₹65,000.

Cost Calculation: Total Distance Driven (till 13 July 2025): 10,000 km Petrol mileage (actual): 12 km/l ⇒ Total petrol used: 833 litres Petrol cost (average ₹102/l): ₹84,966 Had I chosen an alternative like Maruti Ertiga (20 km/l): Petrol needed: 500 litres ⇒ Cost: ₹51,000 Loss due to false mileage promise: ₹33,966 for 10,000 km Over 1,00,000 km, this becomes a loss of ₹3,39,660! My Key Questions to Renault Higher Management: Was I mislead with a false promise to close a sale? If yes, what is the responsibility of Renault India toward such customers? Shouldn’t Renault offer a buyback or refund option in such cases? Shouldn’t the company compensate for the CNG cost (₹65,000) that I had to bear due to misleading promises? Why isn’t Renault enforcing mandatory short videos/documentation of mileage expectations at the time of sale to avoid future customer exploitation? Shouldn’t the company have a policy to financially assist customers who are mislead or suffer monetary loss due to false commitments? Final Words:

Final Words: Yesterday, on 12 July 2025 at 11:36 AM, I called Mr. Ravi (9262799120) but was informed he no longer works with Renault. The lady on the call said, “Main kya kar sakti hoon?” – which added to my frustration. I request Renault India to please take my complaint seriously. I have all service bills and travel logs to support my claims. I expect a logical, practical and empathetic resolution from your team at the earliest.
