  • How MBA Marketing Students Should Be Prepared for the Labor Market

    I was awarded with the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship to conduct a research to identify the current needs of the labor market in the marketing field. The purpose of this research was to obtain and analyze information provided by 23 marketing experts. This enabled the GSB to improve the MBA in Marketing curriculum. This research gave me a better understanding of the future corporate hiring needs in the next five to ten years. It also helped me determine the essential technical and academic skills…

    I was awarded with the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship to conduct a research to identify the current needs of the labor market in the marketing field. The purpose of this research was to obtain and analyze information provided by 23 marketing experts. This enabled the GSB to improve the MBA in Marketing curriculum. This research gave me a better understanding of the future corporate hiring needs in the next five to ten years. It also helped me determine the essential technical and academic skills that should be included in the curriculum. Furthermore, I was able to identify skill gaps, which will allow Touro graduates a competitive advantage by providing them the appropriate training during their academic endeavors.

    Dr. Brock built a small committee comprising of two MBA students, the career center coordinator and three faculty members to evaluate and assess Touro College Graduate School of Business (GSB) MBA program. I created and conducted an alumni survey, as well as analyzed and reviewed the data collected. This gave me valuable insights into the academic program and quality of career services. I also assisted developing strategies and action plans to enhance the program and the overall student life…
