Congratulations on the Publication of the Report: "Implementation of an Indicator-Based Framework for Farm Sustainability Assessment in Ecuador", published by FAO. 🍫 The study uses a novel indicator-based framework (#FARMTOOLS) to assess five sustainability dimensions in cocoa production (economic, social, environmental, nutrition and health, and governance), highlighting critical aspects affecting sustainability. 🌾 The LIFE ACCLIMATE project moves forward!   CTC and Alerion have successfully launched the first navigation and localisation tests for both the terrestrial and aerial robots at the greenhouse facilities of Garaia Cooperative, located in the province of Bizkaia.   These initial tests mark a key milestone in validating the technologies that will help greenhouses adapt to climate change by integrating robotics and AI to improve productivity and resource efficiency.   Alerion - Centro Tecnológico CTC

🛰️ New Seminar Tomorrow: Improving Nitrogen Use Efficiency in Cereal Crops through a Remotely Sensed Nitrogen Nutrition Index (NNI). By Mark E. Lundy 📅 Date and time: July 10th, at 12:30 💻 Format: Online and In Person 📍 Place: CEIGRAM's Conference Room. Recent advances in the fields of agronomy, remote sensing and artificial intelligence have opened new pathways to integrate globally scalable measurements with agronomic models and inform precision N management. The seminar will show the development of image-based models that predict biomass and N content from wheat and triticale in absolute terms, contextualized with critical N dilution curves. These UAV-based models show transferability to satellite-based measurements, and provide new insights for agronomic management, environmental outcomes, and genetic selection. Mark Lundy is an agronomist in the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of California, Davis, where he leads applied research and outreach efforts for grain cropping systems in the state of California. 🌿🤖 El Centro Tecnológico CTC avanza en la mejora de la maniobrabilidad y navegación autónoma de los robots terrestres que operarán en los invernaderos del proyecto europeo LIFE23-CCA-ES-LIFE-ACCLIMATE. ▶️ Mario González Martínez Y Pedro de Martino Garza, integrantes del equipo de #Navegación y #Robótica, junto a los expertos de ALERION TECHNOLOGIES SL, han realizado una visita técnica a las instalaciones de GARAIA KOOP para analizar los retos reales que plantea este entorno de trabajo. 🌱 Uno de los desafíos detectados es la precisión del mapeo del terreno, especialmente por el uso de mallas protectoras que dificultan la lectura de los sensores LiDAR. 💡 Para solucionarlo, en #CTC estamos explorando soluciones innovadoras como el uso de cámaras para la lectura de etiquetas o el diseño de guías visuales en el suelo que orienten los movimientos del robot. ➕ info 👉 https://lnkd.in/dk8rFXXZ
