  • ⚡Ingerslev Å solar park in Norddjurs municipality is officially opened ⚡ What a day we had in beautiful Norddjurs. Together with 85 festive guests, we had a Tour d’ solcellepark – a lot of networking and laughs – and of course, speeches. Thanks to Kasper Bjerregaard from Norddjurs Kommune for the good words in the speech and of course also to our parent company Equinor. Ingerslev Å solar park has an expected annual energy production of 68GWh. From planting belts to pollinator-friendly habitats and beetle banks, our initiatives bring life to every one of the 107,562 panels we’ve installed. "Ingerslev Å has been a great project – showing what we can create together for the benefit of the climate. Our parks will remain in our hands, so for the next few decades, we will continue to be neighbors in Ingerslev Å Solar Park while developing new exciting renewable energy projects on land,” stated Wojciech Cetnarski, CEO of BeGreen at the opening. A huge thanks to all our partners who have contributed to making the project possible – and on that note a special thanks to Electrum concreo. 📷 Christensen Photography

  • Green Electrons Now Flowing from Ingerslev Å Solar Park☀️ This morning at 06:21 we received a (limited) Interim Operation Notification (ION) allowing production of up to 9MW for our solar park Ingerslev Å. And what a sunny day to start sending renewable energy to the grid - we're so excited to share this picture of 8.8MW already flowing into the grid - its just the beginning: once all technical checks are complete, the full ION will enable us to ramp up to the project’s total capacity of 65 MWp / 48 MWac. Thank you to everyone involved – and again a special thanks to our EPC contractor Electrum Concreo ⚡

  • 🌞 Module number 107,562 is in place — Ingerslev Å Solar Park is officially module-complete! Now we’re gearing up to transition from construction to actually generating green electrons⚡ A big shoutout to our amazing team and our EPC contractor Electrum Concreo who made this possible — through sun, rain, and more than a few muddy boots. The final week gave us perfect blue skies, a fitting backdrop to cap off months of dedication, innovation, and teamwork!

  • Why Do We Have a Massive Photoshoot of Solar Park Ingerslev Å? Every two weeks, a drone takes to the skies over our site at Solar Park Ingerslev Å, capturing hundreds of photos.    The photos are then meticulously stitched together to create an orthomosaic (i.e. a large, map-quality image with high detail and resolution), which gives us a comprehensive view of the solar park's current status – which is invaluable for maintaining an overview of the construction progress. Once the orthomosaic is ready, it is overlaid with the design drawings of the solar park and processed through specialized software. This software automatically detects and analyzes various components of the solar park, including piles, mounting structures, solar modules, fences, cables, inverters, and transformer stations. How Do Our Team Use it? Our team at BeGreen analyzes the software's results to identify any discrepancies between the design and the actual construction. With this advanced monitoring tool, we can then make sure that the solar park is constructed precisely as designed. This approach not only increases the lifespan and energy production of the solar park but also reduces construction costs and minimizes environmental impact. #pv #solar #solarpark #tech #construction #drone

We made solar module installation smarter and safer! The solar industry has come a long way, but some installation methods are still stuck in the past. We want to be a part of the change and create a more ergonomic installation process and push the industry towards higher standards. If we can improve physical well-being, we can also improve efficiency and safety on site. Our latest innovation — a new module installation tool — is a significant step in the right direction. Our HSE Site Manager at our Solar Park Ingerslev Å, Kenneth Dielemans, explains more: “Overall, our objective has been to minimize work-related musculoskeletal disorders, which is known in any industry where workers are doing repetitive tasks where manual lifting is involved. The Danish Work Environment Agency (WEA) have visited our Ingerslev Å construction site frequently and every time with positive feedback reports on our efforts to reduce manual handling aspects related to panel installation works. There have been many efforts made, to not just design a tool to minimize manual handling, but also communications towards our workforce that this is all about them having a better and safer work environment. The “flip of the coin” and what fulfills you at work is to see our workforce understands this tool and minimize the risks for them facing such potential injuries”. Well done Kenneth and team! And everyone else involved in this project, including our partners Electrum and Solar For You #innovation #solar #pvpark #team #hse

  • Does snow mean that a solar park cannot generate electricity? Winter is the toughest season for PV plants in the Nordic countries. It isn’t the cold weather that causes challenges, as panels can be more efficient when temperatures are low, like any other electrical component. It is the large amount of snow that is our worst enemy during this season. At our Ingerslev Å solar park, we are maximizing energy production even during the snowy, dark winter months. How? By using bifacial solar panels, which capture sunlight from both sides — one of the many advantages of this technology. If heavy snow completely blocks the panel, then there is no electricity production until the snow melts away. If there is only a thin layer of snow, it will still produce electricity although at a lower power. However, by using bifacial solar panels in our parks, the back of the panels can absorb the light reflected by the snow on the ground. The sun's rays don't need to hit the panels directly, as it is the sunlight we need to be able to produce solar energy! At Ingerslev Å we should still be able to produce electricity during snowy days, as the snow does not cover the back of the panels! Additionally, the fallen snow might reflect more sunlight - and having the irradiance "hit" the modules from the back, initiating production, could possibly be enough to heat them and melt the snow on the top of the panels! #solarpanels #solarpark #PVplant #snow #solarpower

  • Did you know that we use the same European standards for calculating stability of solar parks as used in real estate construction? When designing a solar park, we have many aspects to consider. Not only do we want to be as considerate as possible to our neighbours and the surrounding nature, but we also need to keep a lot of geological data in mind, and make sure to design the solar parks to withstand different kinds of weather conditions. The Eurocodes are the ten European standards (harmonized technical rules) specifying how structural design should be conducted within the European Union (EU). The Eurocodes are providing a common approach for the design of buildings and other civil engineering works and construction products, such as solar parks. Aspects to consider for every specific location: - Wind load - Amount of snow - The risk of earthquakes “Our solar parks are designed to be able to withstand different weather conditions. The structure foundations are anchored into the ground. Most commonly, they are piled down 1.5-3 meters, depending on the soil conditions. Even the panels and the racks to which they are attached are designed to withstand high pressure of wind and heavy snow loads. Careful calculations are always made, and the unique conditions of the site are always taken into account when planning a solar park,” says Jordi Faxedas Rubio, PV Design Manager at BeGreen. #solarpark #solar #pvpark #GreenEnergy

Bright young mind for our future! 😀☀️ This week, we had the pleasure of hosting a young school intern – Elias. He spent time with our Planning and GIS team, gaining valuable insight into how we plan our solar parks. He learned to take a detailed look at our maps to design and plan in the most respectful way—and also discovered the importance of health & safety. Check out his video! Who knows? One day, we might welcome him back as a full-fledged member of the team. He certainly gave us a few new insights and plenty of laughs along the way! 🌱 #FutureTalent #BeGreen #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #SafetyFirst #PlanningForTomorrow
