For many children, it's a dream come true: exploring their parents’ workplace, enjoying a trip on site in a fire engine, lots of kids activities and eating as much ice cream as they like. This dream became reality at our yearly the nature network (MartinBauer and PhytoLab) summer festival last Saturday. 🍦 🚒 Employees, along with their families, were warmly invited to take a behind-the-scenes look at our company. A highlight for many was the guided tour through the lab, where guests – young and old – had the chance to take a closer look at our botanicals under the microscope. 🌿 🔬 There was also plenty of opportunity to connect and catch up: colleagues from our three German sites and international locations gathered for conversations over snacks and drinks, with the photo booth adding a fun memory to take home. A heartfelt thank-you goes to everyone who took the time to register as a potential stem cell donor at the DKMS Group stand. One team.🤝 One target.🎯 One giant leap toward net zero.🌍 The new spray drying tower at our Kleinostheim site enables us to take a giant leap toward our 2030 climate target. And we are justifiably proud of what we have achieved together. In 2023 we were already able to reduce our climate footprint by 11% – smashing our target by a whopping 7%. In 2024 we went a step further, and our new spray drying tower now enables us to reduce CO2 emissions by more than 800 tonnes annually – thanks to the more efficient drying of green tea, black tea, herbal infusions and fruit extracts, and to the reduced transportation requirements. The energy consumption per kilo of dried product has dropped to just 25% of that of the previous facilities. At the same time, the modern technology and high degree of automation enable more flexible processes and extremely precise results. After three years of intensive planning, the spray drying tower went online in 2024 without a hitch.
