If you asked 10 year old us what we wanted in an office… An ice cream truck would’ve topped the list. 🍦 So that’s exactly what we did in Bulgaria. To beat the heat, our Sofia team turned Gelato Day into a full flavoured celebration - scoops of joy, smiles all around, and a much cooler workday. 🧊 Just another day of chilling (pun intended) with team Capital.com.

As CEO of one of our most important markets, Rupert is doubling down on service for UK clients and building a business for the discerning trader and investor. A strong advocate for leveling the playing field and supporting the government’s agenda to drive growth with greater retail investor participation, Rupert is championing initiatives that put fintech and education at the forefront of progress. Rupert Osborne came aboard Capital.com in 2022, armed with 15 years’ frontline trading and sales experience on both sides of the Atlantic. He cut his teeth as a graduate trainee at a London investment bank in 2007- just in time for the global financial crisis, a ringside seat that shaped his views on risk and resilience. He then moved to IG Group where he rose from futures, FX and commodities dealer to Deputy Head of Dealing (FX & Crypto). In 2016 he pitched the idea of opening a US hub; by 2017 he was CEO of IG US, relocating to Chicago, steering the new firm through regulatory approval and turning it into the first fresh FX broker in the US market for years—a gruelling but career-defining launch. Today, as CEO of Capital.com UK, Rupert sets the strategic direction for the business. His aim for the coming years is to significantly grow the UK business by focussing on providing our clients with exceptional service and pricing. Fun fact: Rupert is an avid high-stakes poker player. "Poker is a lot like business, you need to weigh up risks and rewards strategically, and manage your bankroll carefully. When opportunity comes you have to be ready to act." Ever wondered what the future of work looks like... through a 17-year-old’s eyes? 👀 It looks like curiosity, confidence, and a few very good questions. As part of our Impact Strategy, we partnered with The Switch to host students from Stepney All Saints School at our London office. Here’s what the day looked like: 👥 Careers carousel with our teams across Sales, HR, Compliance and more 🎤 1:1 mock interviews with real-time feedback 📝 CV clinics that turned templates into standout stories 🪄 A behind-the-scenes office tour of where the magic (and meetings) happen One student told us: "I love that there’s so much diversity in the office, everybody has taken a different path in their careers and the team is so welcoming." Another enjoyed our team's enthusiasm. Most just felt seen. We loved having them - and we’re proud to build the kind of workplace that helps build futures too.

What does it really take to bounce back? Progress isn’t always linear. It’s tough. It’s uncertain, and sometimes it tests everything you’ve got. After months of rehab, Capital.com Adventure athlete Giel Vlugt returns to the water, with a relentless drive to perform at the highest level. A 2022 GKA Male Kiter of the Year, BAKL World Champion, and currently ranked 6th in the world, Giel has earned his place at the top but injury brought a new challenge. In our film ‘Built to Bounce Back’, we follow Giel’s journey behind the scenes to uncover the mental and physical battles, and the strength he draws from the people who help make progress possible.
