Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming over 300 retired employees and their partners to our new headquarters in Ieper! 👋 It was a heartwarming reunion that was filled with plenty of smiles, stories, and fond memories. Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a dynamic sales meeting for a part of our incredible sales team, which was held for the first time at our new headquarters in Ieper. Celebrating innovation and partnership at AITEX in Spain. 🎉 On May 8, 2025, we organized a remarkable customer event at AITEX in Alcoy (Spain), together with our agents Eduardo De Pineda and Jorge Sempere Blanes. AITEX, which is the Textile and Cosmetic Industry Research Association, recently acquired two Ultimax rapier weaving machines for educational purposes. And one of these machines weaves a fabric featuring the AITEX building to commemorate the 40th anniversary of AITEX which is being celebrated this year. 🏢🎂 We’d like to say a huge thank you to the entire AITEX team for investing in our top-of-the-line weaving machines and allowing us to connect with so many of our valued Spanish customers. Last weekend, it was with great pride that we opened the doors of our new headquarters in Ieper to our employees, their families, and friends. 🙌 Nearly 2,000 enthusiastic visitors came to view our stunning building. 🤩   Our visitors enjoyed an insightful presentation in our brand-new auditorium in which we explained our activities and the investment we made in the new headquarters. Afterward, they explored the building with a tour that took them around the various office floors. The stylish and open spaces, sustainable materials that have been used, and relaxing atmosphere made a real impact. The visit concluded with a drink in the company restaurant, where the beautiful views of Ieper and the surrounding hills captured everyone's attention. 👀   It was a fantastic, sun-filled weekend that featured plenty of smiling faces. Today, we officially opened our new headquarters in Ieper in the presence of the Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever. 🤝 This modern, sustainable workspace spans 20,000 square meters and marks a significant milestone for our company. Designed by AAVO Architects, our new headquarters features a unique architecture – in the shape of a weaving shuttle – inspired by the history of Picanol as a weaving machine manufacturer. It includes a spacious lobby, visitor reception areas, meeting rooms, an auditorium, offices, and a company restaurant with a rooftop terrace offering spectacular views of Ieper and the surrounding hills. 🤩 Our CEO, Luc Tack, emphasized the importance of this investment for the growth of our company, the wellbeing of our employees and the future of Belgian manufacturing. Prime Minister De Wever highlighted the crucial role of Belgian industry in our society's prosperity. The opening ceremony also included a ribbon-cutting moment and a tour of our showroom, where Prime Minister De Wever explored our innovative Picanol weaving machines and digital innovations.
