On June 26, GUBERNA hosted its annual Summer School, addressing a highly relevant and forward-looking theme: how innovative governance can act as a lever for sustainable business models and a liveable planet. Our report on the 2025 Summer School is out now: https://lnkd.in/dgTvxJzk 💡 Insights and contributions: 🔹 Thomas Breuzard (norsys) presented the Permaentreprise model, grounded in three ethical principles: caring for the planet, caring for people, and sharing value fairly—demonstrating how business can align with ecological and social responsibility. 🔹 Frantz Gault, board member and representative of Nature within norsys, introduced a bold perspective on how non-human stakeholders can be represented in board decision-making. 🔹 Prof. Eloi Laurent offered a compelling argument against unlimited economic growth, advocating instead for a more inclusive and social-ecological understanding of prosperity. 🎤The concluding panel discussion, moderated by Prof. Dr. Konstantinos Sergakis, GUBERNA’s Knowledge & Research Director, brought together leaders and board members from diverse sectors—from tech and social profit to retail and pharma—who shared their vision on the role of governance in building resilient and future-oriented organisations. Panel members included Audrey Hanard, Beatrice de Mahieu, Emmanuel Amory, Pascal Léglise, and Peter Depauw. 🌎 A day filled with inspiration, reflection, and a shared commitment to the idea that good governance is essential for a fair and sustainable society.
