IPCEI ME/CT #CONNECT2025 in Grenoble! 🔬 The IPCEI on Microelectronics and Communication Technologies (ME/CT) supports strategic R&D and first industrial deployment projects across Europe. At the congress in Grenoble, Sandra Eger, Head of Funding and R&D Excellence at AT&S gave a keynote speech about the THINK workstream. Eger, who is also the co-leader of the THINK work package, presented valuable updates that advance the integration of energy-efficient and secure data processing and storage technologies, which is important for advanced computing and edge intelligence. At the poster session, the AERIS copper recycling system, which turns copper waste into valuable raw material, was also presented. At AT&S, we are committed to sustainable innovation. Green power for the future: AT&S revolutionizes e-mobility ⚡ 🔋 From electric cars to ferries and aircraft – the future of transportation is electric. AT&S is pushing the boundaries with innovative power embedding technologies that make faster charging and longer range a reality. “We have developed solutions that allow car manufacturers to realize the next generations of their fast charging technologies,” explains AT&S CTO Peter Griehsnig. “Our embedded semiconductor chips can withstand up to 1500 volts and up to 200 amps,” says AT&S Program Manager Mike Morianz. From idea to reality – two projects, one strong team! 💪 In recent weeks, our apprentices have independently planned and carried out two exciting projects. With team spirit and commitment, they created two highlights that show what young talents can achieve together. 👣 Apprentice Trip The trip started with a visit to HTP in Fohnsdorf. After an informative morning, everyone enjoyed a shared lunch before the day ended with action-packed laser tag at Playworld. 🛋️ Apprentice Room The second project is a room designed and planned entirely by our apprentices – perfect for breaks, meetings, and collaborative work. Independently planned, furnished, and set up, it has become a real highlight for the community. These projects show how much responsibility and team spirit our apprentice community has.
