Accessibility First is a collection of insights, learnings, and experiences from industry professionals to spread awareness and help you eradicate invisible barriers. Breaking into accessibility can be overwhelming. It is a broad and always-evolving field. There is no simple checklist to make your products inclusive. Accessibility is about learning and developing empathy for life experiences different from your own. Developing empathy is our whole thing. The content is available in English, German and Japanese. An initiative by Dev & UX Accessibility Specialist Julia Undeutsch (CPACC, GDE). Responsible for content: Julia Undeutsch (CPACC, GDE). Accessibility First hat dies direkt geteilt
In 2025, GDG Vienna is starting a new event series called Accessibility Webinar Series as part of the #BuildingForEveryone events by Google Developers Group , hosted by Julia Undeutsch 💫 . Julia is a Google Developer Expert for Web Technologies since autumn 2023 with the main goal of reaching as many developers as possible to make the online world more accessible. The first event "Getting Started for Designing for Web Accessibility" is kind of an introduction for everyone who just got started out with accessibility in design, development, or in general. Later on in the series, we will dive more into coding, with real live examples, testing together and more. When: January 23rd, 2025 Time: 5pm CET Where: Online The European Accessibility Act is getting closer, so prepare yourself by joining as many webinars as possible 🤓.
