Question regarding a specific type of backup for data
Hey yall! Hope you are doing well today. Had a question regarding types of backup. I’m looking for something free and simple (excluding drive costs) and found something called file history on control panel. Is this a decent backup? I’m simply trying to create a simple backup as I pretty much only use my pc for games and school work. I’m not opposed to doing a total snapshot of my pc but I think if I’m not mistaken takes way more drive space than just file history. Plus sometimes a subscription service Would say a 2tb external ssd be enough? More or less? And I should also state the pc I’ll be backing up is a dual nvme system. I have a 1tb boot drive with a bunch of stuff on it and a 2tb drive with also a bunch on it. How much space would I need and would I need two externals in this case?
The best way to make windows 10 installation media for usb boot?
Can't get into my Windows 10 PC because of blue screen of death. Tried the troubleshooting feature and safe boot but unfortunately did not work in my case. I need to make a windows 10 installation media so I can reinstall Windows 10 from bootable USB drive. What is the best way to do this in 2025?Is there a difference between setting up an account as a personal vs business?
Just wanted to make a local account but it kept asking me to sign into a Microsoft account when I tried to set it up as a personal account. Went under the business or school option, then the option to setup with a domain. It let me create a local account. Is there any difference between the two?
Battery percentage and icon change?
I saw a video on YouTube which was uploaded 4 months ago in which these designs of battery icon are coming in new windows update and the build was 26120.3000 and i am really excited for this so just wanna ask till when it will be released if anyone has any idea and kind of information will be appreciated.
Cannot copy photos from phone to PC
Connected my Moto G Stylus (2022) to a Win 11 desktop PC (with all system updates) via a USB cable, I can see all of the JPG file names that are in the phone DCIM folder. I tried to copy/paste to the Win 11 SSD with many, or just one photo. Both MS File Explorer and Xplorer2 Lite say "Error copying file or folder. The requested value cannot be determined." I tried restarting both the phone and the PC. In Windows\System32, neither rdpclip.exe nor dwm.exe are there. I tried it on a Win 10 laptop... And It All Worked easily.! I was able to copy/paste the files to the Win 10 HDD. WHY would none of this work on the Win 11 PC?Qualcomm laptop change boot logo
I have necessity to change logo from boot of my pc, model asu's ux3407 package folder bios v305, if extract bios file and watch all folder uefi tool I can't find the boot logo into the bios, only snapdragon but not from the brand "asu's". Question: how to replace boot logo to my image ? please help me
Should I use a standard account for every day and have a separate Admin account?
I have two accounts on my laptop, one user and one admin. Each set up as Microsoft accounts with differing email addresses, passwords and fingerprints. If someone gains access my laptop they can't elevate their privileges without my second fingerprint. Recently found some videos with great tracks from youtube. I think it could be great to keep offline, but I'm not sure about the best method. I'm using Windows 10, and prefer something free and easy to use to let me download music from youtube to computer. I've heard of tools like YouTube Music Downloader, but I'm not sure which one is best or if there are better options. Any personal recommendations? Also, if there are any legal considerations I should be aware of, please let me know. I want to make sure I'm doing this the right way. I have received via Windows Update Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5702 (Dev Channel) update. Before I did that, I have reset my computer (because I was having similar problems) using cloud version of Windows 10 PRO. My computer is SURFACE PRO 3 which came with Windows 10 Pro. I have no application on it. After insider update finishes I get a screen with a menu of several items including "recover" and "loggon windows 10" and "other OS" etc. I choose other OS which gives me an option to logon to Windows 11. When I choose it, after a blank screen, I get a dialog box indicating "logonUI Exception". When I reboot to Windows to Windows Update shows Error: (0xc1900101). My Windows 10 pro is upto date. All firmware is upto date. There is no software other than what comes with Windows 10 from cloud.
Windows Smartphone Link Green Screen "IRQ... " when receiving a call.
Hi there! I have the latest dev channel build and recognized a bug (?) which causes a green screen of death when receiving a call: You can see the "Pick up" Message with the buttons in the lower right side of your screen but 2-3 sec later I receive a green screen with an automatic restart. Greetings TimoOn my mechanical keyboard, I do not have a PrtScr button
Is there any way I can rebind the screenshot to have it go to the same folder? Or is there an alternative? I know the WIN+SHIFT+S also works but I kind of hate that it doesn't do an instant screenshot and when I'm gaming its really easy for moments to pass quickly. please help!Instagram story download that supports 1080p or 4k HD video?
Hi everyone, Just found a couple of very interesting and amazing Instagram story videos. Unfortunately, the Instagram official does not provide a download option. I want to know if there is a simple way for instagram story download in the highest possible quality (preferably 4K HD or 1080P). I tried a few online instagram story downloader tools and apps, but most of them either compress the video or only offer low-resolution downloads when it comes to downloading Instagram story videos. My questions are: Does Instagram even allow 4K Story downloads, or is the max resolution lower? Are there any trusted tools (web-based, desktop, or mobile) that preserve original quality? Any tips for avoiding watermarks or malware from sketchy sites? I'd appreciate your inpute. Thanks in advance!
